What's New Around Here
The material found in this website is something like a Banyan Tree. It grows continuously, and keeps dropping vines that become roots for other trees. As such, it can be difficult to know where you are or what has recently been added.

If you have been here before and want to go straight to what has been published recently, this is the page to find the straight skinny. This will be a stripped down "links list" of all the newly finished or perhaps even in progress articles at Quantum History. This site is an ongoing project in preparation for a Video and perhaps a book. Since this website was just started, all articles will appear here. Additionally, links to important news items in archaeology as well as science will be included here.

(added) October 29 2002 120 Million Year Old 'Relief Map'??
This find is of terrific proportions on so many levels. First of all, it is clearly a relief map, second of all, traditional and rarely questioned dating methods place it as at least 120 million years old, third, it has inscriptions upon it in an unknown lanquage, fourth, it was "machined" rather than carved, fifth, it appears to be a piece of a much larger perhaps world map. Please read this important article.

May 28, 2002 New Finds Worldwide Support Flood Myths
This surprising and terrific article, once again reconsiders the question that I have been, along with many others asking for some time now. Couldn't there be more, much more than myth to the "flood myths" which are found in ancient cultures all around the world? Also, recent findings and evidence are considered. A MUST read for anyone interested in "Atlantis" AKA the pre-flood world.

5/23/2002 Mystery shrouds undersea structures
This is an update on the potential lost underwater civilization around Cuba. I knew that there was supposed to be another expedition in January, but I just read that it was launched in May 2002. So, it is possible that they are finding proof right now! It is funny to me that the rest of the scientific community dismisses this team led by a russian scientist as "rubbish" only because "it couldn't be". This is a great update article on the possible discovery.

Biblical Archaeology
Not so much a news item, as a great collection of news items relating to more or less recent archaology as it relates to the Bible.

12/24/01 - The Fight for History
In the Holy Land, archaeology itself is a battleground. Will the Bible win out?
A great article about the hot debates and controverseys surrounding archaeology and the holy lands.

12-13-01 Indonesia's Strange Megoliths
When you find something like this, you should ask: Who were the people who built them? Where did they go? Why do only the stones remain? (which, incidentally, is a the title of a great song by Robyn Hitchcock.)

Caribbean yields up sunken 'lost city'

The Magi and the Star
Do Babylonian astronomical text helps identify the star of Bethlehem? What a great story for around Christmas time!

Austin-area find adds to debate over early man
It is always funny to me how nearly every find in Archaeology seems to upset the "facts" of history. This is just one more in a very large pile of examples. In this article, you will see how a recent and large find in Austin, Texas casts doubt on the typical (textbook) picture of the "Clovis" people who "originally populated" north America. Supposedly, they were nomadic and came from Asia. This find has many Archaeologists saying 'no, they weren't nomadic, and they were from Europe.' The great thing, is that as time goes by, they will have to re-print the textbooks. As the picture gets clearer, it seems to fall more and more in line with the Bible. Funny how that works.

Backyard discovery of ancient stone
This is great! I will be doing an article on megoliths and stone structures at some point. They are an interesting fact of history and mark a particular time period.

3/25/02 - What's this?! More stasis?! 'Ancient 500 million year old shells found'
"It's like swimming around on the sea floor 400 and 500 million years ago," said marine biologist after taking a dip in Melbourne. At some point shouldn't we re-examine the presumptions that the earth is this old? What are the odds that so many "500 million" year old creatures would be passing from existence during OUR lifetime?

1/2/2002 - Pyramids 'built on concrete blocks', says new research
This is something that I have believed a possibility, maybe even probably. That the huge stones of the Megoliths of Egypt were constructed using a form of concrete, rather than being quarried and hauled. This new article shows that acceptance of this view is growing, despite the disagreement of 'egyptologists'.

Fly lends an ear to microphone design
Smart scientists can always gain a little something by studying the grand design of God's creation, as in this case of these audio engineers in New York.

Satellites Search for Ancient Artifact
23 August 2001 WASHINGTON -- Military and private satellite snapshots of Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey reveal an anomaly that researchers say might be the remains of Noah's Ark.

Study Paints New Picture of Dinosaur's Nose
I have long held that "dragon legends" and dragon depictions of the last 2,000 years were probably interpretations of few remaining dinosaurs. Short, panicked stricken views of the creatures might have given rise to depictions which were less than accurate. In this article, National Geographic puts for the suggestion that we might have been portaying the nose of the land dino's all wrong. This one simple change might create a vastly different picture of what they looked like, and bring them startlingly closer to earlier depictions... dragons.

Ancient Jellyfish Leave Their Mark | 2.12.02
How on earth did these 'ancient' 1/2 billion year old jellyfish, leave their indelible impression in the sands of central Wisconsin? Secular scientists call it a "weird and it's a very unusual situation", creationists call it just another proof that the earth underwent a major, global catastrophe, not so long ago.

Tiny Mammal Skull Upsets Another Evolutionary Textbook Tradition
Tell an evolutionist that mammals co-existed with dinosaurs, and he will first have a deep belly laugh, and then he will tell you to go do your homework again. But this tiny little skullbone of a mammal proved it. Funny thing was, it was originally thought to be a bone fragment of a dinosaur bone. Further inspection revealed it to be a complete skull of a tiny mammal. This is a pretty important story, and it is nice that they admit it here.

300 million-year-old cockroach discovered
What about this story from November 2001, of a cockroach which is supposedly 300 million years old, but looks exactly like the ones we know of today! And there is one more thing, usually "extremely old" items cannot be preserved without shell or bone, as this article points out, but strangely, this insect's frailest parts have been utterly preserved. Even veins in the wings can be seen. Now you have to wonder about this one, folks. We have buildings that don't last hundreds of years without serious breakdown. We are supposed to accept that this frail dead insect carcass has been around not hundreds, not thousands, or even just one million years, but 300 million years?! You have got to be kidding.

Oldest fossil fish caught
Further proof that evolution cannot be falsified. Fish have been found earlier and earlier in the fossil rocks. Constantly pushing back the dates at which they 'evolved into existence'. But what happens when they are found in the base of the cambrian layers, where the trail of evolution begins? You would think this would put evolution out on its ear. But no, the response is: "It indicates also that the rates of evolution in the oceans during the Cambrian period must have been exceptionally fast. Not only do we see the appearance of the fish, but also a whole range of different animal types." (Professor Simon Conway Morris, of the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge) Oh... I see, so it was just 'exceptionally fast evolution'. For more on this important discovery, click the title of this paragraph, or for another article, click here.
